With abundant snowfall across Japan’s mountainous regions, winter conditions are a way of life for many residents. The ‘SnowSurf’ subculture has thrived in Japan for decades, where enthusiasts have pioneered hand-shaped edgeless snow craft designs. Deus Powdertools snowboards blend these innovative tail and nose concepts with cutting-edge technology and premium materials to deliver exceptional carving performance, superior floatation, and smooth gliding capabilities.
While these distinctive board shapes appear tailored for deep powder, they’re engineered to deliver outstanding performance on groomed runs as well as in fresh snow conditions.
What began six years ago as a collaborative design experiment with renowned surfboard builder Takuya ‘Tappy’ Yoshikawa has evolved into an extension of Deus’ ‘Culture of Creativity’ in Japan.
Naturally, our mountain commutes inspired the creation of a “Metro to Mountain” apparel collection designed for winter adventures. This collection combines practical cold-weather protection with urban style, ensuring you’re prepared for both mountain excursions and city life.
